Choosing to train with Marcus was genuinely one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Before I met Marcus I was a person who lacked a lot of self confidence. I was over weight at 16 stone 3 pounds and I was out of breath during the warm up. What I can honestly say about Marcus is that I never ever felt judged or pressured by him in the slightest, it was the complete opposite. He became a friend and gave me tremendous encouragement and as a result installed confidence in me making me realise I could definitely achieve my goals. Within a couple of months I had lost 2 and half stone with Marcus and I was delighted by the rate of my progress. A year later, and although I am no longer training with Marcus, he is still always more than happy to give me incredible advice and now I am a healthy 11 stone weight and I feel healthier than ever. Marcus's tips on nutrition are excellent and his dedication is clear from the very beginning. Marcus is energetic, fun, committed and inspirational…and I can’t recommend him enough!

Before we met with Marcus I had never done any structured exercise. My then fiancé had and was always talking about the benefits of exercise. We had decided to get married and so she decided it was time that we started to get fit.

Marcus was brilliant, we started a little bit at a time and within a matter of weeks we were both losing a weight and toning up. I also felt much better in myself. By the time of the wedding, 6 months later, I was feeling great and had lost about a stone and a half. We have decided to continue using Marcus and cannot recommend him highly enough.

Marcus has been helping both my wife, Frankie, and I over the last couple of years. He helped Frankie to recover from the injuries resulting from a fall and did so well that the consultant discharged her ahead of schedule. He worked with me to strengthen the muscles around my knees which my GP advised to postpone the need for knee replacement. He is still doing this for me and I am doing very well and my GP is very happy with the progress. He is now working with Frankie to rebuild her strength after a lengthy stay in hospital after another fall and a stroke during which she lost 20% of her body weight! This is his latest challenge and it is going very well. Frankie has total trust in him as do I. His knowledge and advice on nutrition has also been very welcome. He is meticulous in his care and always enthusiastic and a splendid motivator. His time keeping and professionalism have always been first rate. Both Frankie, who finished her working life as a Head Teacher and I as the Head of the school's Maths department and a Yea Leader also now retired, have complete confidence in recommending Marcus to you.

I have done personal training with Marcus over the last three years. I started with Marcus initially to help me recover from a torn knee cartilage. Marcus did a great job of focusing on agility and knee strengthening exercises to help me in playing badminton tournaments and matches. Soon after that I fell pregnant and Marcus was quickly able to adapt our sessions to take into account my growing bump!  After the necessary break to concentrate on my new role looking after my baby daughter I am now training with Marcus again and he has adjusted the sessions wonderfully well yet again to help me get my cardio and core strength back.  Marcus always seeks feedback during our sessions and will raise or lower the intensity of the activities to ensure I am working at an optimal level. I have no hesitation in recommending Marcus!

If you've found yourself in a bit of a rut with your training then Marcus will definitely help you push passed it. I'd consider myself fairly experienced with training, especially with weights, but Marcus was great with motivating me to train beyond my usual expectations and with thinking about different ways of attacking my sessions for even better results.

Marcus has helped me immensely over the last six months with my goal of achieving better cardiovascular fitness and explosive strength for Rugby. His combination of modern training techniques, mixed with old fashioned hard work has enabled me to perform to a level on the rugby field that I haven’t enjoyed since I was in my early twenties (now 33).  I was also immensely impressed with Marcus’s knowledge of the special dietary requirements required by people with diabetes, I am an insulin dependent diabetic myself and so  my diet and training regimes had to be tailored to suit my condition, which Marcus did with  an air of professionalism and personal care that left me in no doubt that I was in expert hands.
